Two large, permanent, white, concrete flower vats (pots just doesn't seem large enough) sat on either side of a large honeysuckle hedge in front of the house where I grew up. These little flowers multiplied and dominated. The resort in Tucson has the same flowers growing here and there in the well-landscaped flowerbeds. I remember loving picking the dead pods after the blooms were gone. I would squish them in between my fingers releasing all of the tiny black seeds back into the dirt. Hmmm, I wonder if that is why the flowers were so prolific? Of course, the bees could have something to do with their growth as well.
