In fact, the cactus is a small plant that was on a ledge, and the "mountains" in the foreground are two rocks that sat beside the plant. The lighting and focus point determine what your eye might see: a common occurrence in other areas of our lives as well. What we understand or believe we see is frequently impacted by where our focus is and how much we know.
